Hawzah News Agency- Speaking at a reconciliation meeting organized by Hezbollah in Lebanon’s western third sector, Hojatoleslam Sayyid Faisal Shukr, head of Hezbollah’s Bekaa region, emphasized that the option of resistance remains firm and irreversible. The gathering was held at the Imam al-Baqir (PBUH) Assembly in Za’arir–Beit Mashik, with the participation of members of the Mashik family and a broad cross-section of social and political figures.
According to reports, the meeting was supervised by Sayyid Faisal Shukr alongside Hassan Hamiya, head of Hezbollah’s third sector, and was attended by religious scholars, families of martyrs, party officials, social and tribal activists, as well as representatives of local municipalities.
Resistance as a Path of Dignity and Sovereignty
In his address, Hojatoleslam Shukr underlined that the resistance will continue on its path until the realization of complete victory, the end of US domination in the region, and the demise of the Israeli regime. He described the resistance as a choice rooted in dignity, sovereignty, and national honor, stressing that there would be no retreat from this path under any circumstances.
“The weapons of the resistance will remain in the hands of the resistance,” he said, adding that external pressure, threats, or political maneuvers would not alter Hezbollah’s strategic position.
Emphasis on Reconciliation and Social Stability
Alongside his firm stance on resistance, Hojatoleslam Shukr highlighted the importance of internal reform and reconciliation within society. He noted that reconciliation is a deeply rooted Islamic principle that plays a critical role in strengthening internal peace and reinforcing social cohesion.
“The culture of reconciliation and tolerance is a fundamental pillar in building a unified and resilient society capable of confronting challenges and conspiracies,” he said, stressing that social unity enhances the strength and effectiveness of the resistance.
Participants at the meeting described the event as a step toward consolidating social stability and resolving internal differences through dialogue, while reaffirming collective support for the resistance as a cornerstone of Lebanon’s sovereignty and security.
The gathering concluded with calls for continued unity among communities and sustained commitment to the principles of resistance, reconciliation, and national solidarity in the face of ongoing regional tensions.
